钰棋歌唱的不是一夜成名的妄想，那些浮躁的火花总会让他不安，他注意的是正在从我们身边流失的，可能是最美妙的想法，也可能是某些不经意中的奇思妙想。

钰棋出生在河南，一出生即随父母去了新疆，他的父亲是个军官，母亲是个工人，生长在这样的家庭中，并没有什么特殊的音乐环境，但当他14岁在一个偶然的机会接触音乐时，也就是在重金属风潮涌入中国的那段时间里，他开始疯狂的迷恋于重金属音乐，他开始学习吉他，疯狂的练习Metallica Megadeath Extreme等乐队的曲谱，并在以后的那段时间里开始参加当地乐队的一些演出，只是最有戏剧性的是，他一开始参加的演出大部分都是在中小城市的歌厅里给别人伴奏，演奏的大多也都是港台流行歌曲，虽然无聊，但为他积累了丰富的创作和表演经验。

1998年1999年两次来到北京，但这两次来北京的经历，并没有给他带来多少的幸运，反而让他开始怀疑自己的能力，生活还在继续，音乐是否还应该继续？也许羁绊生活的永远是无谓的自扰，他选择了逃离，逃离了他给自己的追求，也逃离了他认为不该有的意外！

2000年他实在按捺不住自己的那份理想主义，再次来到北京，通过朋友的介绍，长期驻扎在一个北大南门叫“霸必龙”的酒吧里做驻场乐手，直到8月的某一天，在酒吧内偶遇梁龙，和他组了个乐队“二手玫瑰”，排了三天练，赶着去当时的豪运酒吧参加一个视觉摇滚Party，事后的结果是不言而喻的，惊喜和意外使他们决定把这支乐队坚持做下去！2003年乐队出版了首张同名专辑“二手玫瑰”！被誉为中国摇滚乐最妖娆的一支乐队。此后他们的行迹也踏遍了大江南北，但是钰棋却在05年乐队发展正稳健的时候选择离开了这支乐队。

在之后在05年-07之间年他活跃于北京多支乐队，先后在“哥特”风格的代表乐队“木马”，魔岩三杰中的民谣诗人张楚，还有女性摇滚的代表人物姜昕，担任吉他手，除此之外还参与了孟京辉的话剧“艳遇”和“两只狗的生活意见”的音乐创作。、值得一提的是“我不是随便的花朵“那张姜昕的唱片，钰棋更是担当了四首歌的词曲，和编曲创作，其中”春天“”彩虹“那流畅的旋律加上那股独立精巧的配器，更是耳目一新！营造着简单，时尚而又浪漫的情调。07年被誉为独立新锐音乐人

在这几年独立发展的日子中，他积累了很多属于自己的创作，也开始萌发自己做唱片的念头，原因就是他想用器乐和歌声找回或者去发现，把生活琐碎中的奇妙，自言自语，甚至是不愿听取的抱怨，找到某种方式把它们诉说出来，在他给我的Demo中我聆听了唱片内部分歌曲，我都很喜欢!其中“心的颜色“主旋律极为的简单，4种乐器的选用，让曲子充满了张力，一听既知便是属于他那股独立的精巧。 还有那首”你知道我才知道“，带有着浓厚法国电子味道，那股浪漫气氛更是让人沉醉！ ”镜子“令我印象深刻，曲调渐渐的舒展开来，忧郁的情绪却没能在最后一个音完结前完全抽离，那股干净的收尾是我的最爱。里边的和声一听便知是龙宽唱的，太有特点了！ “北京之春”这首歌 一半给我的感觉是松弛，一半让我觉得有些略微的沉重，他在冗长的歌词中记载了一些关于某人发生的事！我喜欢这首歌里打击乐和吉他缠绕的在一起的那股声音。 “两只狗的生活意见“是来自孟京辉的同名话剧，这首歌应该是这张唱片里最先被大家听到的吧，旋律，编配都很简单，里边三弦的运用也挺有趣！那股劲和话剧很般配！
